Culvert Assessment for Fish Passage

Aquatic connectivity is the network created by streams, rivers, and lakes as they flow into one another and eventually reach the ocean.

When a culvert or bridge is installed improperly or has not been maintained and becomes a barrier to fish passage it disrupts the aquatic connectivity of the watercourse.

This leads to habitat fragmentation. Guide to Surveying Culverts for Fish Passage
